Earlier today, President Keller McCaghren addressed Congress and the nation on the war situation that has developed between IKEA and Ocelot, resulting in war.

Speech to Congress on the War Situation (The Pizza War Speech)

- President Keller McCaghren

"My fellow Americans, we find ourselves in the midst of war. Not that war is anything new to us, but this war is the first that we will undertake with our newfound allies in the alliance of IKEA. We are engaged in this war because we were brutally attacked by the alliance of Ocelot; an alliance that we were previously at peace with. These nations are brutal, savage, and barbaric in their undertaking of war. They show no mercy to our soldiers who surrender and, in fact, commonly execute them in violation of the Geneva Convention. It is the position and duty of the Reunited States and her allies to fight this war with all of our might, with all of our zeal and courage! Should we fall here, the spark of liberty will truly die, but we shall not fall. Not today, not ever; not while we fight for all that is right and just in the world.

I have nothing but sympathy for the people of these nations as they live under brutal regimes that have nothing but the self preservation of their own corrupt elite. We fight not only to defend our allies and sovereignty, but also to free these people from the chains of tyranny that they have lived under for years. I ask of you, Americans, are you willing to fight for the cause of liberty once more? Are you willing to free those who cannot free themselves from their bondage? Are you willing to fight to preserve our values that have brought us so much good? I hope so, because we need brave men and women like that.

The word for these people is but a simple one, but it fits the bill nonetheless. American. These colors don't run, so neither shall we. Not as long as the Stars and Stripes still waves. May God bless you and may God bless these United States of America."

The President's speech was short, sweet, and to the point. In the opinion of this reporter, it gives us hope that this President is the man that we need during this time of strife and attempted reunification.
