Millions leave bunkers to observe the Qingming FestivalCulture · 19:36, 05-Apr-2099 CGTN, Updated 19:35, 05-Apr-2099 The Qingming Festival is a celebration of spring. It falls on the first day of the fifth solar term, which this year is the fifth of April, of the Chinese Calendar. Families visit tombs of their ancestors to clean the gravesites and make ritual offerings to their ancestors. These can range from traditional dishes to the burning of joss sticks and joss paper.

Despite concerns of radiation, tens of millions were permitted to leave their bunkers to observe the festival. People were permitted to leave between the times of 12:00 to 4:00. Offerings of food were permitted, but were limited to a certain portion size. While offerings of joss paper and joss sticks were encouraged and distributed in certain cities to residents free of charge.

As the Qingming festival was originally considered the day with the best spring weather, the weather posed no issue to the festival's observers. Few people suffered any health issues from observing the festival due to the period of time outside being so short and the wide distribution of mass produced, industrially 3D printed, protective wear to people free of charge.

Being permitted to observe the festival and suffering no ill effects has raised morale amongst the population. Though, this has been nullified by the limitations on the portion sizes of food offerings and its effect on morale. Offerings of flowers were collected by the various state graveyard keepers, sorted, and real flowers were sent to appropriate facilities to be packed as fertiliser.

Artificial intelligence and its relationship with business and government in ChinaSci-Tech · 05:03, 08-Apr-2099 CGTN, Updated 05:26, 08-Apr-2099 Artificial intelligence (AI) has increasingly shown its usefulness in business and technology outside of China. The many state-owned enterprises in the nation have begun using artificial intelligence with full support from the state. AI's capabilities, particularly in predictive analytics, have brought it to the forefront of China's new modernisation and is to be used in tandem with the Fujin Plan.

The state is to develop advanced AI algorithms by feeding these AI systems with decades worth of all manners of data, from financial to historical. These AI systems are to be capable of optimising inventory levels, streamlining logistics operations, analyse market trends, analyse energy consumption patterns, evaluate risks to make data-driven decisions, identify trends, and provide personalised learning experiences using adaptive curriculum and skill assessments in job training, vocational training, and reskilling all to a fault.

To make this a possibility, tens of millions of people lounging away in bunkers as people wait for radiation to subside are to participate in the development of an advanced AI system. As the Fujin plan will make many of these people potentially jobless, all people are required to take online school classes and reskilling courses online. This includes coding and skills used to develop AI. Courses will be free of charge.

These tens of millions will, after finishing their courses, be given the opportunity to work remotely in the advanced AI system's development. As many have nothing to do, it is projected that tens of millions, potentially a hundred million, will participate in the advanced AI system's development, whether that be full-time or part-time. They will only need to meet their quotas should they accept their job offer.
