Introducing: The Atlantic Union

THE ATLANTIC UNION

As of today, the Atlantic Union officially declares it's existence. We are an alliance dedicated to neutrality, security, freedom, and prosperity on both military and economic fronts. Our members primarily originate from Atlantic and Atlantic-adjacent nations, though we do at times accept non-Atlantic countries.

Our membership as of now is as follows:

• Republic of Greenland
• The British Empire
• Vetus Mundus (Mundusia)
• Threse 
• Vesla 
• Trito 
• New Bermudas
• Thailand

We allow for members to be in multiple alliances at once so long as it does not interfere greatly with the neutrality of the AU (i.e wars resulting from membership in one alliance will not be acted on by the AU)

Our Discord server is fully operational, and we have a democratic council which votes on proposals and bills. Applying now will allow you a 50m OBD joining bonus and a selection of gear from the AU market. If you work hard enough, you may even become a Council Nation one day! Below you can find our charter.

CHARTER OF THE ATLANTIC UNION

FIRST EDITION

- Article 1: The Atlantic Union exists to protect the sovereignty of Atlantic and Atlantic-adjacent nations and ensure the neutrality and defense of the area from foreign threats.

- Article 2: All members of the Atlantic Union agree to MDPs with every AU nation without exception (unless specified by a Council Nation)

- Article 3: Atlantic Union nations will, if requested by a Council Nation, offer economic support to a fellow member in need. Doing so without being asked is heavily encouraged

- Article 4: Atlantic Union nations are encouraged to engage in free trade with one another to ensure the economic stability of the area.

- Article 5: Atlantic Union nations will not engage in unwarranted attacks that might disrupt the neutrality and independence of the Atlantic nations.

- Article 6: Any threats to the neutrality and independence of the Atlantic region must be acted on by any AU member in the vicinity of the threat.

- Article 7: AU members will show kindness and support to Atlantic Union protectorates and allies, even though they are not obligated to defend them.

- Article 8: AU members will promote freedom for their citizens, and in most cases allow for civilian ownership of firearms (unless the Council Nations have granted an exception)

- Article 9: AU nations must coordinate and inform fellow members, especially Council Nations, during times of war or changes in their nation. The same applies for suspected threats.

- Article 10: Atlantic Union members will at all times abide to this charter to the best of their ability and uphold the principles set forth by the AU.
