State of the Ajakon Confederation

       State of the Core Ajakon Confederation (Japan, Korea, Niigata, Ainu)
  As of this day, September 17, 2098, the Republic of Nicaragua has limited contact with Japan, the Ainu Kingdom, or Korea due to nuclear fallout from Russia. The other SGPs, including ourselves, the Limited Monarchy of Hawaii, Antofagasta, the Thai SGP, popularly known as ‘Yeosin’, and the Cypriots have all agreed to remain in the SGP system and Ajakon Confederation. The limited news we have is from Niigata, and that is that the rice farms have been completely contaminated, and they are bringing food to the people from the storage meant for if a superior naval force ever besieged the nation, this supply is unknown, but Nicaraguan analysts estimate that Japan has around a years worth of food for its current population. The other set of news is that a cultural struggle is happening between the Ainu and Japan. It is unknown how that situation is progressing. 
      Status of the Outer Ajakon Confederation (Anything else)
  Aki Akimoto and the Ajakon government were moved to the Dutch Republic shortly after the nuclear exchange against their wills, however, they did agree to move the capital of the Ajakon Confederation to Nicaragua temporarily until the status of Japan is further discovered. The official statement made by Akimoto is below. Hawaii is reporting cooler weather and we are starting to feel the same. The provincial government of Galapagos is currently freaking out, as the nuclear exchange is bound to affect the diversity and wonder of the islands.

  “Citizens, SGP leaders, Military, and allies. You all know me by now.” She looks exhausted from the last few weeks, “I am upset to inform you that the United Imperium-Soviet war has ended in a way that will wreak havoc on the world I live in. Nuclear winter is coming. We cannot just make it disappear with a wave of money and technology. This issue could, quite literally, wipe out an unprepared nation. Any government official who says they have bunkers for their entire nation is either very paranoid or stupid. I suspect millions of people are going to die in the coming years. This world is wounded people. We need to figure out how to work together to weather the nuclear storm we’ve created, or we may all die. The average temperature in summer could drop up to 20 degrees Celsius, or so my geeks tell me. My nation? The Ajakon Confederation has no intentions of war for the next 20 years, I can promise you that. We have no clue what happened to our core territories and we are sure a minor famine will occur in Japan. Whatever nation the Confederation was entering this war, it will become only a shadow of what it used to be.” She rubs her forehead, “I’m telling the world this, because no nation should be planning or even wanting to go to war, and yet wars are being conducted in Europe. Either way, this world is changing, and I don’t think it will be for the better.”
      State of the Ajakon Armed Forces
  .Due to the inability to easily talk to either the General in Command or the Air Commander of the Ajakon Army and Airforce respectably, the Army and Air Force are slightly crippled in command. The Naval Force of Ajako is mostly unaffected due to the NBC protection routinely updated. Head Admiral Nataka has stated that she does not want a war, but will use the navy to the best of her ability to defend Ajako if needed. The Ajakon Confederal Missile Corps is in the middle of acquiring interm missiles from the Dutch and Sedrosians. New missile designs are on their way, designed in Nicaragua, including the HMICM-1 (Highly Maneuverable Inter-Continental Missile), the TMAIGCM-1 (Tactically Maneuverable and AI Guided Cruise Missile, and the AMTM-100. The scientific society made some complaints about using AIs on missiles, including a complaint by the Nipponretto’s sentient AI system Omega, but the military has assured everyone that these are limited AIs that do not have consciousness. The XL series has been renamed the Ajakon Manuverable Tactical Missile. The capabilities of the missiles are currently highly classified, however, a leak is that our Nicaraguan scientists are developing a couple of nasty toys for the Ajakon government, they are called the ‘HEPKBM’ and ‘HEPMWMDM’ respectively, we have no other info on these things. The European Fleet will dock in the Dutch Republic for replenishment and to transfer Akimoto to Nicaragua. The Akimoto has authorized a transfer of classified documents about Ajakon ships and tech to the Dutch government.
