Singing Ice ODP (Optional Defense Pact)

Preamble

This Optional Defense Pact (ODP), known as the "Singing Ice ODP," is established between the Antarctica Alliance and Magister Mortalis, with the aim of fostering a relationship based on mutual respect, intelligence sharing, non-aggression, and potential defense cooperation. Through this pact, both alliances seek to enhance their security, cooperation, and diplomatic relations.

Article I: Intelligence Sharing

Both Antarctica Alliance and Magister Mortalis agree to share intelligence that is of mutual interest and affects the security or welfare of either party. Each alliance commits to promptly inform the other of any threats, actions, or information that could have significant implications for their safety or operational integrity.

Article II: Non-Aggression and Dispute Resolution

The Antarctica Alliance and Magister Mortalis commit to a principle of non-aggression towards each other. Any disputes arising between the two alliances shall be resolved through private diplomatic channels, aiming for a peaceful and mutually acceptable outcome.

Article III: Optional Defense Cooperation

In the event that either Antarctica Alliance or Magister Mortalis comes under attack, the other is encouraged, though not obligated, to provide military aid and support. This clause also extends to counter-piracy operations and other mutual defense activities, emphasizing the optional nature of such support.

Article IV: Public Cordiality

Both alliances agree to maintain a cordial relationship in public forums and spaces. Neither party will engage in actions or rhetoric that could undermine the reputation or standing of the other alliance. This commitment to public respect is foundational to the strength and integrity of this pact.

Article V: Treaty Termination

Should either alliance wish to terminate this pact, a private notice of 72 hours must be given to the other party before any public announcement is made. This period is intended to allow for final discussions and to ensure that the termination process is conducted with dignity and mutual respect.

This Optional Defense Pact is signed with the hope that it will lead to a lasting and beneficial relationship between the Antarctica Alliance and Magister Mortalis, strengthening both parties in the pursuit of prosperity and security.
