New Tech-Merchants? No, New Tech-everything...

The Merchant Republic has recently become a mechanist type of government, still retaining the Republic style of a government but with a Mechanist twist on it, now they have invested a lot of money to machines and robots, replacing butler ponies with robotic butlers, more than half the population is now a Tech-Merchant, Normal merchants aren't uncommon but still are fewer, usually you'd see a merchant with like, 6 robotic arms just serving around 10 people all together, or a person with a mechanical eye laser busy welding something, though then there are the normal merchants who usually nowadays run the repair shops for the Tech-Merchants.

"Hey, we still make a good amount of money, it's just a bit less than what we are used to, oh well, we just usually sell cosmetics when we're behind on cash." -Random merchant

Most merchants only sell Tech-Merchant cosmetics nowadays, they sell as much as oil can, though oil will still be their pride and joy.

Other locations have become fully automated, oil rigs now operate by a strict line of code dictating to never cease production unless storage is full or given proper reason, meanwhile gold has been discovered in abundance in an undersea cave just barely in The Merchant Republic's waters, aquatic machines are being designed to go down there and mine the gold.
