Lapunto adapts defensive posture on it's maritime borders and land frontier

The Puntan government released an official statement today, expressing concerns over Raritania's recent expeditions and describing them as a risk to the nation's territorial integrity. This has confused many both in Raritania and Lapunto, as while the civil government / parliament of Lapunto is either unaffected or unaware of this matter, the Technocratic Council is going no tolerance on Raritania's presence on the Antarctic contenient. 

Despite assurances that Raritania poses no threat to Lapunto and that expeditions would be limited to East Antarctica, the Technocratic Council is still on edge. And this isn't like the Technocratic Council either, as normally, they are more focused on infrastructure, which mostly is developed in the nation's north. There are currently no intentions to push Raritania out of the region by force, and while the exact nature of Lapunto Antarkta's enhanced defensive measures have not actually been disclosed, there are reports of increased military presence and surveillance along the Antarctic Mountains and South Pole, and all of these have been orders superceding the PM's orders to disregard the matter.

When asked for comment, PM Myratgeldi commented more precisely on the Technocratic Council's condition "That the Technocrats are worried about Raritanian settlers possibly venturing deep into the Antarctic frontier, past the south pole and into West Antarctica, where Lapunto admitelly still does not have solid and reliable governance thanks to the rapid expansion into the  West Antarctic frontier under him. Myratgeldi denounced the Technocratic Council as a bunch of "scaredycats" and that Lapunto would be just fine, that the presence of Raritanian settlers might even bring an population and economic boost to the villages deemed "Angelovviloj." "They definetely have an agenda against me" Myratgeldi further commented.
