Preparations and deals
With the Turks all but in open rebellion in the Southeast and tensions with the Ausparians brewing in the West, it seems like Sedrosia has truly reached a breaking point. While all of this goes on the Ultranationalists continue to grow in power to the point where in certain parts of the empire they seem to have more influence than the government. This is especially prevalent in the City of Bucharest and really most of Eastern Romania and Northeast Bulgaria, in fact Bojevic has even decided to make Bucharest his base of operations as he signs deal after deal with the mayor there and police turn a blind eye to the large gatherings of militias and the use of shooting ranges as militia training grounds.
The office of the mayor of Bucharest:
Bojevic: My good mayor, should we manage to convince all of Romania to side with our glorious movement and if we do march on the capital, sedrosia may be saved and the people will prosper. If you should join the party and publish our word, you will be paid handsomely. Obviously if you betray us and the inevitable saving of Sedrosia occurs diplomatically or not… Well, let’s not dwell on that now. So I believe that joining us is the only real option you have, not that you need much more convincing as it is. Your giving our men mostly free reign over this city has indeed proved to be quite beneficial for our cause, and made training the glorious People’s Army that much easier. So take this as a token of my esteem.
He tosses a bag full of ancient gold coins onto the mayor's desk, about 3 million dollars worth in fact
Bojevic: I regret to cut this meeting short, but I am a busy man and I have preparations to make.
An old Villa in Northern Bulgaria
A group of 12 Ultranationalist guards stand guard as Bojevic sits in his chair on the back pavilion overlooking a cliff. Suddenly two armored SUVs pull into the driveway and a middle eastern man in a military uniform steps out and he and his guards walk into the back where they meet with the Ultranationalists there
Bojevic: Ah, I was worried you would not show up, how do you find yourself Colonel
Guard: You are speaking to Colonel Amal Al-Hassan, show him the respect a man of his stature is due
Al-Hassan: That will be all Kalib. Now let us get to business Mr Bojevic
Bojevic begins to pour himself a glass of wine as several of the Colonel’s clearly Jihadist guards seem to grow uncomfortable. Noticing this, he hands the glass to one of his own guards and orders him to pour it into the grass
Bojevic: I apologize for my poor manners. I agree, now is a time to discuss business. I have a proposition for you
Al-Hassan: You are a busy man, as am I, let us hope this is not a waste of either of our time
Bojevic smiles
Bojevic: I do not waste people’s time. Now as for my proposition, I believe you’re in need of weapons for your own revolution, my people can fill that need, for a price.
Al-Hassan: So you bring me here for an arms deal, a bit boring, but I accept, should the price remain reasonable. So name your price.
Bojevic: I hear your organization, Turkish Dawn I believe it’s called, has recently come into possession of a large stash of weapons grade Uranium, is this true?
Al-Hassan: Yes it is, why do you care
Bojevic: I would like to start off this partnership with a simple trade, we do not need a lot of Uranium, just enough to be a good fallback option in case our first plan does not work out so well.
Al-Hassan: How much do you need
Bojevic: If the measurements are correct, 360 kilograms would be enough to suffice
Al-Hassan: You drive a hard bargain, what would you be willing to give in return
Bojevic: We shall start by giving you 2 rocket artillery trucks and the promise of further business
The colonel laughs and then stops
Al-Hassan: You are joking, no
Bojevic: Does it look like I am joking, I will give you these vehicles to use against the Sedrosians when your revolution inevitably begins, if you give me enough Uranium to bring my enemies to their knees. I plan for this to be the first of many business ventures between us and I need to understand if you truly are worthwhile
The Colonel frowns and he and Bojevic pull out their respective handguns at roughly the same time causing guards from both sides to do the same. Suddenly both leaders start chuckling and then lower their weapons
Al-Hassan: I think this will be the start of a glorious business venture. You shall have half your Uranium in two days time (smuggled by plane) and the other half shall arrive in one weeks time (different method to prevent all of it from potentially being taken at once in a Sedrosian raid)
Bojevic: And your troops shall rain fire on our mutual opponent in exactly two weeks. Mark my words, if you should stick with us, Turkey will be yours before the year concludes.
Both leaders shake hands and the meeting is concluded
