Is round, seems to resemble a perfect circle, isn't 3D so can't be a sphere, no angles whatsoever, technically all one side.

Wrong, to be considered a circle it needs an area; having an interior with an area (in this case a colour or imagine inside the circumference) to be considered a circle. This one has nothing, it's transparent, so we conclude that it is a circumference

Even if it were a ring, it would still be a circumference, because a ring has no area, it has no interior; is a circumference
