This morning, a mysterious cylinder undetected by astronomists SMASHED into a rural part of the country near Ajaccio, inside of a forest. It create a nearly 10 ft-wide crater. It resembles some sort of can like the ones we use for storing food, like beans. The government has expressed concern but has not authorized military intervention yet, or any action at all. A large group of hundreds of citizens surrounds the cylinder awaiting for something to happen. The first astronomer to see it claims the cylinder is "moving" like theres a man inside trying to open it.
This came just a couple of days after odd shining lights were detected in the sky. Many other nations, like Luna and the Brotherhood of Fusion have claimed to see shining lights in the sky aswell. While we await further updates from both nations we urge other nations to report on anything suspicious they see like the shining lights reported.
The cylinder itself is made from an unkown material, and its origin is also unkown. So far, some astronomers say it might have come from Mars due to its destination and travelled route. However, its still unlikely as this would take some immense calculations that not even the brightest minds on earth could do.
We will await and report on further findings.

@Luna Could also be junk parts from when spaceships leave earth's orbit. The Kessler Syndrome is very much a real threat.
