Yesterday, the Sedrosian Parliament approved the annexation of the lands conquered after the Third Balkan War. Also, the newly formed Republics of Croatia and Slovenia have voted to join the Sedrosian Empire as Protectorate states. With 78% of Croats and 83% of Slovenians voting in favor of join Sedrosia. This comes at a hard time in the region as the Austro-Hungarian Empire has collapsed not 2 weeks earlier. And so the newly formed governments in these regions supported joining Sedrosia not only for security, but for we share common cultures, languages, heritage, and a common goal to unite the Balkans. Votes for annexing Slovenia passed only 37 minutes after being introduced in Parliament. The vote for Croatia took place over the course of 7 hours as representatives continue to debate the legislation and some voiced their concerns. Finally the vote succeeded, and both Slovenia and Croatia will be annexed into the Empire.

While the Aegean and Romanian lands were directly annexed into Sedrosian control, Slovenia and Croatia will become a Protectorate State like Italian Sedrosia (Recently renamed to the Venicean Republic), and the Montenegrin Republic. Meaning that they have a lot of autonomy on internal affairs, while delegates are sent to the Imperial Parliament to help with international and external affairs for the entire Empire. Every citizen of these protectorate states are full Sedrosian citizens and receive all the rights that every other citizen has. Like freedom of speech, religion, right to vote, etc.

Anyway, these votes come at a bright time ahead for Sedrosia. As new technological advances from the war are.starting to come to civilian markets. And with alliances with many neighbors and with peace secured within the Balkans, the future is looking bright for the nation.

Shame. I actually got these lands from the now fallen empire of Austria-Hungary. (Or at least these lands joined our nation after the collapse of Austria.)
