The Wilderness | Part 2

(breathing calms, slows to a normal pace)

What just happened? It's like I- where am I?

The last thing I remember was this... thing... chasing me. It had claws and was black as the darkest night. I saw it and a chill ran through the air like it had suddenly turned to winter.

That was before I heard a voice saying something I couldn't even distinguish, and that's when I blacked out.

What's happening?

I can't seem to remember anything before running from that creature. I don't even know why I'm here or where in the Stygian Wildwood I am. All I know is that I'm in the woods and something's after me.

Whenever I close my eyes I see nightmares. Fire consuming the world. It's like something's gone so very wrong and I'm the only one who knows.

Perhaps it's just a dream or an illusion. Maybe it's what my mind's made up after being here for- how long have I even been here?

Please, I ask that you come here and find me if you ever hear this message. I think time is running out.
