As we enter 2079, Rimskaya has decided to enhance her military defense even more, considering we have been successfully breached by the Chaos Insurgency on numerous occasions already. The following are the unclassified additions to the new military defenses:
Gulf-Wide Sonar System
Due to how little we are contested in the Gulf of Mexico, state-of-the-art sonar stations capable of detecting submarines anywhere in the body of water are being set up, anchored to the seabed. Modern cloaking technology has been tested as no match for the system, which can also detect surface vessels using a combination of signal waves and monitoring water movement patters.
Brand New Fighter Jets
Rimskaya has recently developed her first native fighter jet; all our previous ones were regularly updated and/or outdated American ones. The jet, titled the "Grom-1" (Grom being Russian for Thunder), will be taking to the skies as soon as February 2079 on regular service, and will begin to phase out previous jets.
Retro-Fitted Modern Battleships
The ships that dominated the waves in the mid 20th century have been revived by Rimskaya. Now sporting modern anti-ship missiles to add to the main cannons, along with better anti-aircraft stations, the first of the new "Rima-Class" Battleships will take to the waves in early April 2079.
Heat-Seeking Bullets
While still in the preliminary testing stages, the military hopes to be close to developing bullets- not rockets, bullets- that are capable of finding targets using heat. The main difficulty is maintaining propulsion during targeting, but so far tests are looking promising and we expect to have these being fitted into soldiers around September 2079.
Rimskaya is from here on out taking the security and defense of the country very seriously. Socialism is an anti-war ideology, but that doesn't mean the workers are defenseless. Revolution is undertaken in arms, and so will be the protection of Rimskaya from fascist and imperialist hostility.
