History: When the government of Oman became oppressive and attempted to ban guns and other weapons, WISD0MTREE started a revolution against the government. The government wanted to compromise with the pro-gun revolutionaries, but the dominant left wing party led protests against the compromise. The nation of Oman went into anarchy. All pro-gun revolutionaries migrated north to start a new nation led by WISD0MTREE. The left wing party took control of the south, creating South Oman. Through military conquest, North Oman was able to gain the whole Oman area. North Oman is currently under temporary authority of an oligarchy called The Council. The Council is working on establishing a political system for North Oman, which will take effect when majority of the council members die.

In recent years, the ineffectiveness of the court system has led to companies hiring private military companies to enforce their rules. The North Oman Military has had multiple hostile encounters with these groups. In politics, there is a huge debate on whether companies should be able to hire these PMCs for reasons other than contract enforcement. Members of The Council are anonymous to avoid political pressure. This has led to some conspiracy theorists believing that The Council is replacing members to establish a permanent oligarchy.
