History: The Free Republic of Rio Grande was formed in 2113 by Mexicans and Americans living on the wasteland ridges of the Rio Grande Valley, the country was formally declared independent in the city of Monterrey by Travis Flores, a Mexican-American politician and revolutionary leader. The nation strives for collaboration between Mexican-Americans in order to form a Rio Grandese national identity


In the year 2011 Travis Flores founded the Holy Rio Grandese Liberation Army, a paramilitary group and independence movement which rapidly gained support from local catholics and separatists in the Mexican northern border, the HRGLA aimed to reform the Republic of Rio Grande including cities like McAllen, San Antonio, Tampico, Reynosa and others but ended up narrowing down in Monterrey as Mexican cartels and other countries repelled them back. In Winter of 2113, after a long campaign the HRGLA and Travis Flores were able to establish The Free Republic of Rio Grande, seeded in Monterrey where they now look to expand towards the whole Rio Grande Valley. Even though the battle for independence is done, the war still continues as our phase for expansion starts as the sun rises.

That same year in 2113, elections were held as Travis promised for a true democracy enforced through a Constitutional Republic with civilian representation and popular vote. Travis ended up winning by 70%~ along with the Brothers of Rio Grande, a nationalist party
