History: In the Great Intergalactic War, the Draval Authority was a vassal of the Rexus Romanum, an intergalactic empire that had a coalition formed against it. The Rexconians used Dravali hyperspace routes to attack the Coalition's systems, without asking the Dravali government, which went against Intergalactic law stating that even subjugated nations must have their borders respected by their overlord. This unprovoked move by the Rexconians angered many Dravali citizens who saw this military transit as an invasion, as the Romanum had never deployed military forces in Dravali space.

Near the end of the war, violent protests began to develop on Lod, the capital, against a government which had no resistance to Rexconian armies and fleets unlawfully travelling through their space, and now refused to surrender to the coalition, when it was clear the Rexconians were losing, and these only got more widespread by the day. The economy broke down, as protests of dozens of millions blocked the entire main city metro area and most not involved stayed inside unable to get supplies.

The situation on the streets had escalated to a full-blown civil conflict, and surrounded, the pro-Rexconian heads.of government were killed when the parliament was broken into after a bloody fight.

There was no chance the government could keep control over their galactic holdings as the Coalition was advancing, and even their control over the planet of Lod was almost shattered. Draval on research and mining stations across the empire desperately fled either to Lod, to fight or just find somewhere in the country to settle, or where most left to, Coalition nations. However many refugee ships met their fate to starvation as they used almost all of their food for the journey, and were rejected by the Coalition, all of which were facing their own civil instability.

The Draval had exited the galactic stage, their homeworld being engulfed in bloody civil war as the Rexas Romanum was bombarded to rubble by the Coalition forces in victory.

On Lod, the status quo became one of divided factions and nationstates controlling small amounts of territory and constantly fighting. Many Draval forgot about the united government that once brought them to the stars. Except Raldirm Klipak. The leader of an established major superpower, he led the Draval through their unification wars, where, after hundreds of years of division, he combined genius governance, diplomacy, and military strategy, plus an effective merit based system to promote the best military minds, to capture the entire planet in 15 years.

Now the Draval ascend back to the stars they once knew after so long, disunited and barely surviving in the shadows of their early spacefaring legends.
