History: A land of agriculture and harsh climate, Western Latvisa became independent after being part of both Belarus, Lithuania and Poland.

The Latvisans are a Baltic-Slavic transitional ethnic group that migrated from eastern Latvia to Southern Lithuania/Western Belarus during the late 1680s.
For many years, Latvisans weren't represented at all, since they were quite few and classified as "Lithuanians". Since 1995, they have been recognized as such, and have been divided in four parts: Northern, Northeastern, Eastern and Southern Latvisans (26.400 people that speak a dialect of Lithuanian that is influenced by Belarusian), and Western Latvisans (slightly more than the country's population; the only ones recognized as a proper ethnic minority; although they live just west of their Eastern neighbors, they speak a language isolate (with probably Finnic roots); there is an ongoing theory that it was created as a "code language" from Western Latvisans themselves from the 1800s onwards, since at the time they were usually in a conflict against Eastern Latvisans that wanted their territories back (even at an unofficial level).
Western Latvisans separated themselves from their Eastern counterpart due to their linguistical differences, and they are generally perceived as "weird" or "different" from other Latvisians.
The country only has two different political party: the Istivelesti Lativisia ("Independent Latvisia"; center-left/left-wing), the currently ruling party, and the opposition party, "Faci-szisae Kidomontue" ("Anti-fascist Patriots", right - wing).
