History: After the dissolution of the Soviet Union the newly established Russian Federation was in shambles and with an economy in shock. Communists across Russia banded together to create an anti Yeltsin movement and in 1993 during black October they seized their chance. Armed with small arms and crude explosives the Russian Eastern Republic was declared. Local troops banded with the communists to create leadership. Yeltsin's government was pre-occupied with the politicians resisting his 1993 dissolution of the soviets until December elections. Once black October was dealt with many of Yeltsin's soldiers defected to the newly established republic. Yeltsin attempted to invade however using guerrilla tactics his invasion was halted. After a failed invasion Yeltsin's government was heavily criticised and even more soldiers defected to the Russian Eastern Republic. Many of those who supported the politicians at black October fled to the new republic. The republic was a DOTP. It was officially a part of Russia until 1996 when the Chechen war gave rise to an opportunity for the Republic to be separated from the Russian Federation. Officially the Russian eastern republic was its own country and not an autonomous entity inside the Russian Federation.
