History: | For centuries, Lezut was a region under the oppressive rule of a sprawling, industrialized empire, its name now lost to history and censored from all Lezuti records. Known only as the Old Nation, it was a hierarchical state plagued by corruption, wealth disparity, and ideological repression. Lezut, located in the mountainous east of the empire, was rich in rare metals and scientific institutions, but its intellectuals and engineers were routinely silenced or co-opted by the central regime. Among these silenced minds was a rising scientific prodigy and radical philosopher: Tuzel. Born into poverty but educated through underground networks of scholars, Tuzel became the figurehead of a growing movement known as the Rational Flame, a coalition of engineers, medical workers, scientists, and progressive soldiers advocating for technocratic governance, social liberation, and economic collectivism. Unlike traditional revolutions led by generals or monarchists, the Lezuti resistance was organized by mathematicians, codebreakers, and logistics experts. Using drones, autonomous vehicles, and encrypted communications, they waged an asymmetric war against a technologically stagnant imperial military. Rather than establishing a monarchy or parliamentary democracy, the new state formed a Technocracy, where governance is determined by merit, expertise, and scientific evidence. The government is overseen by the Council of Sectors, each representing a pillar of society: Energy, Health, Infrastructure, Education, Cybernetics, and Culture. |

Description: | Rejecting traditional capitalism, Lezut abolished private ownership of large-scale industries and instead implemented a sector-based syndicalism, where industries are collectively managed by worker-scientist councils and overseen by technocratic experts. All major economic decisions, such as infrastructure projects, resource allocation, and energy production, are guided by data models, ecological sustainability, and long-term societal benefit, rather than profit motives. While not strictly Marxist or fully communist, Lezut does align with socialist principles, particularly in wealth distribution, universal public services, and workplace democracy. |
