History: Before generals in banana-yellow uniforms strutted through the enormous banana groves. The area was home to small independent tribes which all cultivated and worshipped banana groves. When the Spanish stumbled upon the shores in the 16th century, they became enchanted by the delicious bananas the tribes peoples grew. Over the centuries the delicious banana groves have passed, now bananas are genetically altered to stay fresher longer and the flavor is a distant memory. The Great Independence Slip-Up in 1809 lead to a revolution in the country started by a tragic banana warehouse explosion eliminating the delicious bananas for good. Since its independence the country seems to go through military dictatorships faster than a banana turns black. The country stills holds itself together by its love of its banana powered economy.

Most transactions are made in dried plantains or IOUs. Only the 5 Banana note is produced which is sometimes regularly rejected, if shops are unsure it can be honored by next week. Off-book banana bonds hold up most the economy, along with banana pudding and banana plushies sold to tourists. The government gleefully show "record banana harvests" on state TV channels.
