History: After the Philippine Civil War went into a stalemate, the Communist Party of the Philippines, the Bangsamoro-Duterte Alliance, and the Republic of the Philippines negotiated in the Treaty of Manila last May 12, 2025, where it includes the territorial distribution among these entities, which excluded Manila. Manila is allowed to have their own sovereignty and is allowed to acquire territories by purchase. Manila established the People's Republic of the New Philippines, and was officially convened on May 26, 2025. The President elected should adopt the name Kalayaan Magdalo as he is an "attendant of freedom." The first elected president is Mariano Magiting via popular voting happened on May 30, 2025, along with the first Provisional Congress made up of 20 Improvement Representatives, and were officially inaugurated on June 1, 2025.
