The Raven Federation is a fiercely independent federal republic located in northern France, centered around the Normandy region with its capital at Raven Nest. Known for its mist-covered highlands, storm-lashed cliffs, and deep-rooted regional identity, the nation emerged from a long and turbulent past shaped by rebellion, ideology, and survival.

Originally a patchwork of semi-autonomous duchies, the region declared independence in 1931 during France’s political turmoil, forming the Raven Socialist Republic—a hardline communist state inspired by Soviet and Balkan models. For nearly six decades, it operated as an isolated, one-party dictatorship, enforcing strict ideological control, censorship, and militarization. The regime collapsed in 1989 after mass uprisings and internal breakdowns.
