History: The Republic of Larathya was established a long time ago as a colony to produce the plentiful resources that existed there. It grew into a populous planet with a variety of industries and economic importance. Their model of Democracy was one that many planets in the sector looked to follow. They enjoyed a couple centuries of peace and prosperity, only rarely having to go to war. This changed when the Sith arrived. The Sith Invasion was quick and tactful with minimal losses on both sides. Now Sith Occupational Forces control the government and the planet. They are preparing it to be a base for the SIth Fleet and as a launch area for more operations in sector. The citizenship is quickly adjusting to the SOF and do not appear to be struggling under military rule despite Darth Ataxia telling them that they are still a Federal Republic.

Climate: The climate of the Republic of Larathya is much like other planets. Hotter towards the equators and freezing at the poles with milder climates in between, There are muggy areas given some of the land is flat towards the equator. Winters tend to be harsher than normal due to the planet going farther from it's sun than is typical. Summer and early fall bring hurricanes but the people have become experts in building weather resistant structures.

History: The Military of Larathya stood no chance against the Sith Army when it invaded. Very few battles commenced and they quickly and willingly submitted to the Sith. The Sith left an occupational force on planet with a small fleet of reinforcements in orbit. The SOF is working with Military commanders on Larathya to prepare for possible counterattacks from the Republic and for general improvement.
