The Kingdom of Virelion is ruled by the venerable House Aurelion (family name Aurellius), an ancient dynasty steeped in legend and divine tradition. 
Founded in the Year of the Golden Sun (circa 1121 CE) by King Aurellius I, “the Peacemaker,” who united warring lords under one crown, the dynasty claims sacred origins, with medieval chronicles attributing his rise to the blessing of the old pantheon. 
Revered as guardians of justice, piety, and wisdom, the Aurelions have ruled for over nine centuries, bearing titles like “Aurellius of the Golden Tower” and “Guardians of Virelion.” 
From the codification of royal law during the Age of Golden Peace to Queen Elenora IV’s triumph in the War of the Red Rose, the dynasty has weathered rebellion and reform while preserving its absolute authority.
