History: 🏰 The History of Bolnasia
Origins (600–1000 AD):
The earliest known settlers of Bolnasia were Slavic forest tribes who migrated westward during the collapse of the Eastern Roman Empire. They formed loose alliances near what is now Solvianie, drawn to the land’s rivers, fertile plains, and mineral-rich hills. These early people lived off farming, fishing, and basic ironworking.

The Rise of the Bolni Dynasty (1012–1400):
In 1012 AD, the tribes were united under the warrior-king Velko Bolni, who crowned himself King of Bolnasia after defeating rival clans. The Bolni Dynasty ruled for nearly 400 years, constructing the fortified city of Trevarsie and introducing Christianity as the state religion. This period was known as the Age of Kings and Clerics, marked by castle-building, epic feasts, and holy pilgrimages.

The Fracture Era (1400–1634):
The dynasty weakened under corrupt rulers and external invasions from mountain raiders and coastal pirates. Bolnasia broke into four warring mini-kingdoms. Civil war plagued the land until a young revolutionary general, Yion Pelkov, led a people’s revolt. In 1634, he overthrew the last Bolni prince and established the Republic of the People of Bolnasia — the first attempt at democracy.

Industrial Uplift & the Turtle Pact (1800s):
During the 19th century, Bolnasia industrialized rapidly, building railroads, steelworks, and public schools. The national animal, the turtle, was chosen in 1842 after a famous turtle named Kolobo stopped a runaway steam engine by slowly walking onto the track and alerting workers — saving hundreds of lives. This led to the Turtle Pact, a national promise to protect nature even as industry grew.

The Great Gray War (1921–1930):
Bolnasia was invaded by its larger neighbor Krikkutstan in 1921. The war devastated major cities like Venicez, and over 50,000 citizens died. But thanks to fierce guerrilla fighters and clever diplomacy, Bolnasia pushed the invaders out. In 1930, the Treaty of Vluox secured Bolnasia's sovereignty and cemented national pride.

Modern Democracy & Nimanja Petrov (2000s–Present):
By the early 2000s, Bolnasia had shifted into a stable democratic system, balancing traditional values with modern policies. Nimanja Petrov, a charismatic reformist from Trevarsie, won the 2025 elections with a promise to make Bolnasia “the land where dreams come true.” He renamed the government “The Kingdom of Bolnasia” to reflect its rich heritage while keeping the democracy alive — earning him the ceremonial title Yion Pelkov Nimanja Petrov.
