The New Spanish Republic (NSR) is a fledgling democracy born from the failures of the old Spanish state. Founded on the core tenets of popular sovereignty, representative governance, and the protection of fundamental rights, the NSR seeks to establish a more just and equitable society. Committed to transparency and accountability, this new republic strives to ensure that the lessons of the past inform a brighter, democratic future for its citizens. The NSR is slowly aiming at unifying old Spanish provinces.

Flag design:

The Colors: The flag retains the traditional horizontal stripes of red and gold from the Spanish flag. This acknowledges the historical and cultural connection to the land and its people, recognizing the past without being solely defined by it.

Red: symbolize  the sacrifices made in the pursuit of a new, democratic future and the energy and dynamism of the new republic.

Gold/Yellow: Represents the potential for prosperity, justice, and the bright, democratic future the NSR strives for.

The Addition of Purple: A distinct departure from the old Spanish flag, the inclusion of a purple stripe at the bottom signifies the new republic's commitment to fundamental rights, justice, and equality. Historically, purple has also been associated with republicanism and progressive ideals. The bottom placement suggests a strong foundation upon which the new republic is built.

The Dark Blue Top and Bottom Borders: These darker blue bands frame the traditional and new colors. They symbolize stability, transparency, and accountability – key principles of the NSR. They act as a border, suggesting the clear and honest governance the republic aims to establish, learning from the "failures of the old Spanish state."

The Central Emblem: This emblem is a combination of symbolic elements:

The Gear: Represents progress, industry, and the collective effort of the people in building a new society. It signifies that the NSR is forward-looking and focused on the development and well-being of its citizens.

The Stylized "S" within the Gear: This subtly incorporates "Spanish" into the emblem, acknowledging the nation's identity while placing it within the context of progress and a new beginning. The flowing nature of the "S" can also suggest dynamism and movement towards a better future.

The Olive Branch Encompassing the Gear: The olive branch is a universal symbol of peace and represents the NSR's desire for a just and equitable society, built on peaceful principles. Its placement around the gear suggests that progress and industry should be guided by peace and a commitment to fundamental rights.
