(Socialistična Republika Cerovec)

The Soviet Republic of Cerovec is a fictional communist state located in the territory of present-day Slovenia, established in 2025 . Born from the ashes of fascist occupation and nationalist fragmentation, Cerovec emerged as a Soviet-aligned people’s republic under the leadership of the Workers’ Front of Cerovec (DFC) with the full backing of the Red Army.
 

The capital city, Stanka Vraza, named after the revolutionary poet and martyr Stanko Vraz, serves as the political, cultural, and industrial heart of the republic. Surrounded by alpine ridges and socialist high-rises, Stanka Vraza stands as a symbol of proletarian strength, revolutionary endurance, and ideological purity.

The country is governed by the Communist Party of Cerovec (KPC), with all aspects of life—economy, education, media, and culture—centrally controlled by the Party in accordance with Marxist-Leninist principles. The republic’s economic focus lies in heavy industry, hydroelectric power, and collective agriculture, with large state-run factories in cities like Nova Ruda and Trg Osvoboditve.

Cerovec maintains a fierce and unyielding loyalty to international socialism, branding itself a “Red Bastion of the Balkans.” Its borders are closely monitored by the People’s Defense Militia, and internal dissent is dealt with by the feared State Directorate for Revolutionary Vigilance (DRVN).

Despite its authoritarian structure, Cerovec prides itself on universal education, state-funded housing, full employment, and medical care. The republic’s culture is infused with patriotic theater, heroic epics, and grand monuments to labor, unity, and sacrifice. Annual celebrations such as the Festival of the October Flame and Victory Over Reaction Day are nationally televised events that celebrate the revolutionary spirit and the triumph of the working class.
