History: | *Velimar Dragovich: How a Tank Platoon Sergeant Became the Nation's Leader* On a cold November night in 1941, Sergeant Velimar Dragovich, commander of a platoon equipped with three outdated Czech tanks, made a decision that would change history. After the occupying forces executed his family and a German officer dismissed his men as "cattle in iron crates," he launched a rebellion. With twelve loyal soldiers, Dragovich poisoned the garrison commanders, seized an armory, and rolled his tanks through the barracks, crushing machine-gun nests and reducing headquarters to rubble. By dawn, a black flag bearing a hammer cut from an enemy uniform fluttered over the smoldering ruins—a symbol of defiance. But this was only the spark. Over the following months, hiding in the Carpathian forests with a handful of survivors, Dragovich transformed a localized mutiny into a full-scale guerrilla war. His units, nicknamed "wolf packs," sabotaged supply lines, ambushed convoys, and left fallen enemy soldiers with warnings: "Vendia does not forgive." By 1942, thousands had joined his cause—escaped prisoners, defectors from collaborationist units, and farmers exhausted by relentless requisitions. The turning point came in August 1942 in the caves of Dukla, where rebel commanders gathered to decide their nation’s fate. Debates raged: some argued for aligning with Moscow, others for seeking Western aid. But Dragovich, slamming his fist on the table, declared, "We will be free—or we will die!" In January 1943, atop the ashes of the burned village of Kršova, he proclaimed the Vendic People’s Republic and was named Supreme Leader. The years that followed were marked by brutal consolidation. Dragovich ruled with an iron grip: traitors were executed, dissenters sent to labor camps, and propaganda exalted him as a modern heir to ancient Slavic warriors. When Berlin fell in 1945, he stood on the balcony of the former enemy headquarters, listening to crowds chant his name. Yet the war’s end brought new challenges—now, he had to build a state where steel and willpower would replace laws and compromise. Vendia was not born of lofty ideals, but from the fury of the oppressed, who chose to die on their feet rather than live on their knees. |

Description: | **Economic Foundations of the People's Republic of Vendia** The People's Republic of Vendia has developed a unique economic model that combines planned mechanisms with national characteristics. The economy rests on three fundamental principles: self-sufficiency, defense orientation, and social guarantees. *1. Industrial Structure* *A) Defense Industry Complex* The steel heart of the economy, where every third worker contributes to national security. In the Carpathian valleys and along the Vendla River operate: - *November 19th Tank Works* (produces modernized T-72M3 "Vepr" and T-80UD "Warhead" tanks) - *Steel Thunder Ammunition Plants* (manufactures munitions using 1960s blueprints) - *Baltic Shield Shipyards* (repairs small missile boats) *B) Agriculture* Farmlands are cultivated by *Unified People's Farms (UPF)* — successors to collective farms. Key features: - Priority given to grains (rye, barley) and potatoes - Carpathian mountain pastures form the backbone of sheep farming - GMO ban as "bourgeois biowarfare" *C) Mining Sector* The Republic fully provides for itself in: - Tungsten (key export commodity) - Lignite coal (energy independence) - Peat (fuel for rural areas) *2. Economic Management* *Five-Year Plans* are approved by the People's Economic Assembly, emphasizing: - *Localization* — even bearings are made from domestic metal - *Autarky* — Western sanctions only strengthened self-reliance policies - *Labor duty* — students and civil servants work 2 weeks annually in fields/factories *3. Social Guarantees* Despite limited resources, the state provides: - Free education (with military-patriotic elements) - Universal medical checkups (every 3 years) - Guaranteed employment (through job assignment system) *4. Transport & Infrastructure* *"Steel Arteries of the Motherland"* include: - Narrow-gauge railways (transporting coal and grain) - "People's Tractors" — ZIL-130 trucks running on gas - Baltic ferries (sole "window to the world" under sanctions) *5. National Characteristics* Vendic economy is distinguished by: - *Barter trade* with friendly nations (weapons for oil) - *People's construction projects* (major infrastructure built through mass mobilization) - *Black market* as unofficial deficit regulator *De jure* — planned socialist system. *De facto* — militarized capitalism with a human face. Guiding economic principle: "Don't wait for mercy from global markets!" |

History: | * Armed Forces of the Vendia: "Dragovich's Steel Hounds" * Unlike the cumbersome war machines of great powers, the Republic army has always prioritized quality over quantity. This principle was established by Velimar Dragovich himself in 1945, when he selected three hundred of the most ruthless and loyal fighters from former partisan ranks to create the first professional strike force. Today, the armed forces of Vendia represent a unique military organization where every soldier undergoes the most brutal selection process. Of one hundred candidates, only twenty reach the finish line. The rest either break or perish during the trials. ! Elite Units ! The Black Mountains (Schwarze Berge) are the most secretive and mystical formation. Their fighters can be recognized by their black uniforms with silver skull insignias. They specialize in behind-enemy-lines operations and control of special zones. Initiation into the Black Mountains includes a three-day trial in the so-called Valley of Shadows—a region of the Carpathian forests where radioactive fogs from 1950s tests still linger. The Night Ravens (Nachtraben) are a unit for special tasks. Their black Kevlar armor and experimental weapons make them a formidable force. They appear where conventional troops are powerless—whether eliminating strange creatures or cleansing anomalous zones. Dragovich's Hammer is the main strike force of the army. These professionals fight according to all the rules of modern warfare, but with Vendic's unique approach. Half of their personnel are former mercenaries from various countries who have sworn allegiance to Vendia. ! Training and Trials ! Selection for the Vendia army begins with a 48-hour march through the Ore Marshes—a terrain where the water contains sulfuric acid and the air is thick with toxic fumes. Those who pass this trial face Bunker No. 6—a place not even spoken of to one's closest kin. The final test is the control shot. The candidate is ordered to execute an alleged rebel. In reality, this is a test of absolute loyalty. Those who hesitate are deemed unworthy to wear Vendic's uniform. !? Operations and Legends ?! The Vendic republic army archives contain reports of operations never officially acknowledged. In 1946, three companies of Black Mountains vanished without a trace in the Suwałki Forest, where rumors say they encountered and neutralized a being referred to as the "White Giant." 1973 saw the assault on an underground complex beneath Waldemarstadt, where a strange metal was discovered—its properties still studied by Vendic's scientists to this day. In 2015, an operation in Klaipėda was conducted to apprehend the so-called "moving statues." What they truly were is known only to a select few in high command. ! Armament and Principles ! The standard arsenal includes battle-proven HK G3 rifles with specialized ammunition and "Vepr-T" tanks shielded against electromagnetic pulses. But the Venda soldier's greatest weapon is his will. There is no mass conscription here—only volunteers. Surrender is not an option—each carries a final bullet for themselves. Retreat is unthinkable—even in the face of the impossible. As the Night Ravens' motto goes: "If it can be killed—we will kill it. If it cannot—we will contain it." Such is the army of Vendia—small in number but unbreakable in spirit. Ready to confront any threat, be it enemy forces or something beyond explanation. |
