The founders of Devon, representatives from Mid Devon, Exeter, Teignbridge, Torbay, Plymouth and South Hams came together in the newly established and historical capital city of Exeter to form the new country of Devon. Established with a new democratic constitution, Devon is determined to distance itself from the past and look to a new future!

History: | The Devonshire Republic (Devon Republic) is formed of a newly assembled regions of councils which seceded from the UK. Following the (Migration War) which saw several regions leave the UK and England itself, including that of Scotland, Wales to form their own independant states. The formation of the Devon Republic happened with an extraordinary session in the newly established and historical capital city of Exeter, with representatives from the following areas: Exeter, Mid Devon, West Devon, Teignbridge, South Hams, Plymouth and Torbay. Other representatives from the Torridge, North Devon and East Devon refused to join the unification of the region. During the newly assembled session located in the heart of Exeter, the cathedral, to sign a declaration of independance and a new constitution. Incorporating the regions of each representative above. Troubles however immediately begun when North/East Devon and Torridge refused to join the union. Instead they sort to immediately create their own state, with East Devon attempting to annex mid Devon. A war soon raged where parts of Mid Devon where annexed by East Devon and East Devon being eaten slowly by Devon Republic. The war soon turns as the south gain superior firepower from the Plymouth Naval Base, soon beginning to push north. Currenty, the war continues with the end result of the full annexation of the northern and eastern territories. |

Brixham has been named the (capital city for fishing). Farm land is avaliable throughout East and Mid Devon, whilst war is ongoing, plans are to turn these areas into farm land. Newton Abbot will be allocated as the industrial hub for the country, with already established factories and warehouses Devon will soon be up an running as an agriculture powerhouse. |

History: | Plymouth currently stands as Devons major naval base, with already established infrastructure which was not sabotaged during the breakup of the UK. 2 Type 23 frigates where retained but without manpower or supplies they where soon mothballed. Tiverton has been allocated as a major military hub, with a HQ, barrocks and intelligence. The Dartmoor area also offers a range of training sites, firing ranges and facilities are being planned for this area! Exeter City Airport is currently the only functional airport capible for an air force, however Devon never retained any fast jets or heavy carriers. Chinooks, Merlins and Wildcats helicopters are retained from the Devonport Naval Base and Dartmouth Naval Training Base and are soon to be added to the equipment. |
