History: On June 24, 2109, nationwide protests spurred on by striking trade unionists raged against the young King Homan II. When the local police forces in Al Ram were overwhelmed, the King called upon General Ibrahim Barimani of the Al Khasar Brigades to enforce order in the streets. In an act that would redefine the history of Khasa, General Barimani would march his forces straight to the Royal Palace and capture the King in a quick and bloodless coup. With soldiers taking up defensive positions as the mass of protestors descended on the palace, General Barimani stepped out onto the palace balcony into the public's view, royal crown in hand. For a moment, he raised the crown above his head before dropping it to the ground floor, where it shattered. The crowd erupted with applause as General Barimani declared the end of the monarchy and the beginning of a new era for Khasa. What that new era will be is yet to be seen...
