History: The Kingdom Of Socotria was founded by Ali Bin Jassem in 1965 as a response to the economic and social climate in both Western Sahara and Mouritania. Promising a brighter future, the locals started supporting Ali Bin Jassem in his journey of independence.

Socotria remained relatively small until Ahmad Bin Ali II was nominated the king of Socotria in 2013 after his father King Ali Bin Ashraf passed away.
