La Región Libre de Magallanes, known in English as the Free Region of Magallanes, is a nation comprised of the various comunas (communes) that were divided prior to Magallanes' independence. Being still in development, the nation revolves around the cities of Punta Arenas(the capital) and Porvenir. They are across from each other separated by a body of water (the Strait of Magallanes), which flows into the Strait of Magellan.

Magallanes is a geographically diverse nation, with features such that include Torres del Paine national park, Cape Horn, Tierra del Fuego island, and the Strait of Magellan. Far into the North, the Patagonian ice field withholds the tallest peak in Magallanes, Volcán Lautaro. Jorge Flies has publicly announced that Chilean Antarctica is of no interest to him, and has left it to Chile due to the far distance away. However, most of this land is rugged, and mostly used for sheep/cattle farming which is one of the country's main industries. This makes a large amount of the land unable for settlement.
