History: After high amounts of civil unrest in Alberta, the province was self declared independent after the ARAF (Albertan Revolution Armed Forces), a private military organization founded in 2031, placed military units along the borders of Alberta and some of its major cities, such as Red Deer, Calgary, and Camrose. The ARAF stated that if any military or police force attempted to attack them, they would raid CAF military bases in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Colombia. The Canadian Armed Forces, with the help of the United States Army and United States Air Force, Raided 3 major ARAF compounds in eastern Alberta with a total of 30,000 soldiers, 750 tanks, and about 100 aircraft. The ARAF fought hard with the CAF and American military, destroying just over half of the Canadian and American forces with less than half of the forces the CAF and USAF had due to their highly trained soldiers and advanced fighting techniques. The ARAF then attempted to attack Fort McMurray, but were forced to retreat after heavy casualties. After the Russian Federation and ARAF gaining interest in diplomatic relations with each other, Canada and the United States signed a treaty with ARAF to cease their attacks on Canadian and American forces, and the Canadians and Americans would cease their attacks on the ARAF. A vote held in Alberta to make Alberta an independent country won with an 88.7% agreement with the citizens of Alberta. (I dont care that this isnt very realistic just roll with the story) After a decline in quality of the government, the Albertan citizens wanted something new, so Muran Herstain won the 2045 federal election in Alberta. His widely approved and accepted polices made Muran a favorite prime minister for most. Muran Herstain was assassinated in 2047 at a speech for new business polices to aid small businesses in large cities. Then was Elected Ford Explorer, who had polices similar to Muran, making Ford another highly approved Candidate. Ford then won the 2048 federal election and immediately had a national vote to change the type of government the country ran on, along with a whole "rebranding" of Alberta as "The Republik ov Dukand". It was a controversial vote ending with only a 43.8% approval rate. Ford was dedicated to the national change and after winning the 2051 federal election, he tried again. This time the nation had changed and the vote had an astounding 84.6% approval rate. The nation was then changed to a republic and renamed "The Republik ov Dukand". A new language, called "Etár-ang" that was in the works since 2046 by Ford Explorer himself, then passed onto writers in the government to be a "language that is easy for lots of people to learn and adapt to, while making it simple and effective for communication." as said by Ex Ford Explorer, was now being introduced to schools to be taught around the country. Now in 2104, it is the most spoken language in the Republik ov Dukand with 61.9% of the country now speaking it.
