Its leader, President Dieter Beilschmidt, is a charismatic but benevolent man; during what is now known as the Konigsberg Siege, he was the leader of the Prussian Blue Resistance Army. Beilschmidt was known for being "merciful" to ordinary citizens in Kaliningrad who were uninvolved with the Russian government and milita, "jovial" to his fellow soldiers and countrymen, and "unyielding" to those who would oppose the liberation. Naturally, a cult of personality quickly grew, and Beilschmidt has been in power since independence.
