History: | The Republic Of California was founded in 1836 as the Bear Republic during the Bear Flag Revolution ( 1836 - 1850 ). The republic fought for its independence from Mexico during this time, under the leadership of Pacheco Jr., and on June 14th 1850, the republic was officially declared. The nation thrived in the 1800’s, especially during the California gold rush of the 1850’s. By 1900 the republic of California was a top #10 economic powerhouse, with millions traveling across the world to visit. The republic joined WW1 in 1917 after German pacific naval forces attacked a Californian cruise liner destined for Manila on April 16th. The republic defeated several German naval fleets in just 3 months, and when the war ended in November 1918, the republic gained German Samoa as its first overseas territory. During the interwar period and the roaring 20’s, the country seemed on a destined course for eternal growth, as millions of immigrants settled in California during this time. During the Great Depression ( lasted from 1929 - 1934 in California ) the country was hit hard, with millions becoming homeless. Through the leadership of multiple president however, California recovered from the depression fully by 1938, and in 1939, the republic signed an open border agreement with the U.S.A for 100 years. In 1941, when the Japanese attacked pearl harbour, California joined the Second World War. California fought hard during the war, and over 7 million enlisted in the armed forces, and the California Navy ( CN ) won multiple massive battles of the pacific, including the Battle Of Leyte Gulf. |

Terrain: | The Republic has a varying flow of terrain. In the northwest if tue country is the Jefferson Mountains, which extend from the Oregon border to the Northern Coast of the Bay. East of these mountains is the Morocco Region, a mountainous high plateau in the nations Northeast corner at the tri-border area between California, Oregon and Nevada. South and east of this, is the famed Sierra Mountain range. This extends from Northern California to Tehachapi Pass. East of Tehachapi is the the Mojave desert, church takes up majority of the southeast of the nation all the way to Baja California. Circling back northwest, are the San Diego and Los Angeles mountain ranges, which serve as a wall for the Angel Basin, which houses Los Angeles And San Diego. Northwest of this are the Pacific mountain ranges, consisting of several mountain ranges. Circling back in to the center of the nation, are the Santa Maria, Robles and Central Valleys. |
