It has been locked in conflict with the Palestinians and its Arab neighbors over ownership of the "Holy Land". Tiberian is protected by it's elite military know as the TDF (Tiberian Defense Force).

The purpose of the TDF is to protect Tiberian and its independence and ensure the security of its residents, to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the State of Tiberian, deter all enemies, and curb all forms of terrorism that threaten daily life. Use of the missile system also known as the "Hand of God" is reserved for the true Enemies of the State.
