The 4 of July of 1974 a liberal revolution that deposed the government. The 18 of September of 1974 the kingdom was founded by Faisal I as a parliamentary monarchy in the Constitution of 1975. The monarchy lasted from 1975-1993. In 1993-1997 a provisional government ruled the country. The Constitution of 1998 guarantee that this country is a Parliamentary Republic with the actual system
