~10,000 BCE - First human settlements appear after the Ice Age.
~3000 - 2500 BCE - Baltic tribes emerge, ancestors of Lithuanians, modern Highlanders and Lowlanders.
1009 CE - Lithuania is mentioned for the first time in the Quedlinburg Chronicle.
1253 - Mindaugas crowned as the first and only King of Lithuania, tribes united, VPDR becomes part of the newly formed Lithuanian state.
1569 - Union of Lublin signed, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth is created. Sovereignty reduced.
1795 - Final partition of Poland–Lithuania, Lithuania annexed by the Russian Empire. Current territories of VDPR suffer from russification, assimilation, globalization issues, open immigration policies further escalate the process, as inhabitants from the far east are moving in to live here.
1918 - Lithuania declares independence from Russia after World War I. Few pro-nature ultranationalists hoping to separate from the new Lithuanian state are suppressed, sentenced for up to 5 years in Kaunas prison.
1940 - Soviet Union occupies Lithuania, followed by Nazi Germany (1941), then reoccupied by the USSR in 1944.
1990 - Lithuania becomes the first Soviet republic to declare independence.
2004 - Lithuania joins NATO and the European Union.
2040 - LNPM party is elected to Seimas, takes up more than 75% of the seats in the upper house. Neo-fascists introduce harsh reforms to boost national identity, begins strong militarization.
2041 - Various separatist movements. Russian forces secretly arm the separatists, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin denies involvement. NATO destabilized. Lithuania is annexed by the Russian Union shortly after.
----- MODERN HISTORY OF THE VPDR
July 15, 2041 ; January 22, 2046 ; January 11, 2048 - Unsuccessful VPDR movements.
October 3, 2086 - Death (destruction) of Droid Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The Russian Union plunges into chaos, many microstates declare independence, through violence or peaceful protests.
April 25, 2088 - The start of the revolution. VPDR is founded under the name of KLDR (Kaimo Liaudies Demokratinė Respublika (Village People's Democratic Republic)). Raganius is appointed as the first and official leader of the KLDR, general secretary of the newly-formed Village People's Communist Party. The village of Kvesai is declared a temporary capital village of the nation. Government of the KLDR releases an official flag with proportions of 1:2, similar to the one of the Lithuanian SSR (1953–1988), but with green, white and dark blue stripes in the bottom, yellow letters "KLDR" in the upper left corner and two central golden symbols: the water tower with a hammer and sickle on top and the hill of crosses, emblematizing nation's political, general ideas and favorite landmarks of the temporary capital village Kvesai.
December 30, 2089 - Nation's name changed from KLDR to VPDR. Official language - from Highlander Lithuanian, to English.
June 19, 2090 - Former capital village along with multiple other villages merges to form a massive capital zone now called "Batniava". Nature preservation ideas intensified, cities devastated, most of the inhabitants either moved to the west, to the east or to the rural areas of the VPDR.
November 12, 2092 - The end of the revolution, the beginning of the reconstruction efforts. The HQ of the government of the VPDR is transferred to the former territories of Bubiai village, Supreme Nature's Council building is constructed. VPDR gains de-jure recognition from all neighboring nations: Sudovia, the New Highland and the Lowland Republic, as well as the Russian Union and 57 other nations worldwide.
November 13, 2092 - The government of the VPDR signs a union treaty with the New Highland and the Lowland Republic. Sudovia and Memelland refuses to join. VPDR sovereignty is lowered. Nation renamed to Batniava, becomes a part of Village People's Union (VPU), one of the three official states, only one with the village-state status. Raganius is appointed as the leader of the union, flag changed.
October 28, 2095 - VPU succumbs to deadly political riots. Provisional government seeks help from the nearby nation of Nova Prusio, signs a friendship treaty, permanently transfers parts of the Kaliningrad region in exchange for military and economic support. Riots turn into a full-scale uprising, Nation is divided, former government overthrown. Kristupas Voroninskis becomes the new leader of VPU, eventually finding a compromise and ending the uprising, changing the government from a Communist Dictatorship to a People's Republic and introducing a new administrative division (state) system together with a two party system. Social Democrats of Villagia (SDV) political party is founded.
February 1, 2111 - Due to unexpectedly high peace levels, VPU is disbanded. VPDR restores it's nation status, keeps the former VPU flag with minimal changes, K. Voroninskis continues to rule the nation, political parties choose to keep their headquarters in Batniava zone. The New Highland and the Lowland Republic undergoes extensive government reforms, diplomatic relations strained.
February 6, 2111 - New administrative division system is introduced (collective farms) which is followed by the secondary administrative division - villages. Such reforms resulted in a better political organization, increase in high-ranked government officials, seats in the Supreme Nature's Council building.
Simultaneously, general secretary K. Voroninskis introduced a new birth program, now requiring citizens, who decide to have children to have an even amount (2, 4, 6 etc.) for up to 16 children. Families with 6 or more children are provided with huge, low-tax housing and mothers of 6 or more children are awarded with 3rd class motherhood medals (followed by 2nd class medals for mothers of 10 or more, 1st class medals for 14 or more). Having an uneven amount of children will result in a public execution of all children, unless they are 18 years of age or older.

Most of the nation's territories are plains, approximately 27% are forests. VPDR does not border any seas or other large bodies of water, only bordering, surrounding a few rivers, such as Nemunas, Dubysa or Nevėžis, a few other minor reservoirs, lakes and ponds (Purviškiai res., Klausučiai res., pond Vdukas etc.). The three major hills, mounts are man-made, reaching the highest peak of 154 meters (Mt. Nature).
VPDR borders Sudovia in the south, through Nemunas river, the New Highland in the east, north-east, and the Lowland People's Republic in the west, north-west.
Not many nations are recognized officially by the government of the VPDR, apart from the Russian Union, United People of Bydgoszcz, Nova Prusio and a few other minor nations, nations of the Gallowglass alliance. |
