After serving a long time as the Chancellor of Germany, Lukas Thiele finally decided to go out of German politics. He now had the vision to create his own country and as soon as he found an until then undiscovered island between Great Britain and Iceland, he founded the nation of Husen-Kurl and became President in 2065. Because of his fame many residents came directly, primarily Germans who followed their former leader, but also many people from Europe as well as from Japan and Liberia. That is also why the country's language is German. Husen-Kurl was implemented fast into the world order and joined the European Union, therefore the currency is the Euro. President Lukas Thiele formed his government out of former partners and experts and was supported by Germany for the first 168 days. A parliament was elected and the President announced elections every 4 years.
July 7 2069: Husen-Kurl founded and joined the alliance AFPED. The President, who also became alliance head, said: " We hope to create something great with AFPED. We are looking forward to a hopefully peaceful time of economic development and diplomatic relations to other, also long established, alliances"
September 22 2069: Husen-Kurl carried out his first democratic election. President Lukas Thiele was re-elected with a great majority. This were the overall results:

Husen-Kurl's terrain is very diverse. In the north there are many mountains such like the Mount Grünten. It is stony in the higher levels and smooth in the lower levels. The more we come to the south, the terrain becomes flatter. First we have a few smaller mountains, but with a lot more valleys, where the ground is no longer smooth, but very moist. Then, if at all, there are still medium-sized hills, but above all flat land that is reminiscent of the temperate zone and is well suited for agriculture and urban development. And then on the south coast we have if only very small hills, but above all beautiful beaches. The whole country is crossed by rivers, the widest and longest, the Torney River, flows through the capital Lukania. There are also many lakes. That is respected by the government which follows its own rules for nature and climate protection strictly. |

The climate is the same diverse as the terrain and can also be described from north to south, because it changes when the terrain changes. In the north the climate is very cold with a temperature from -12 C˚(even colder at the top of mountains) to 2 C˚. The whole year is snowy and only a few cold-resistant plants grow here. The more we come to the south the warmer it gets. First it's still cold and the climate is like in the subpolar zone, that's why there is boreal coniferous forest. The temperatures go from -10 C˚ in winter to 13 C˚ in the short summers. Then in the middle-south of the country there is a climate like in the temperate zone. Temperatures from -2 C˚ to 36 C˚ create a real feeling of different season moods and the vegetation is dominated by mixed forests and wide fields. In the south, right at the coast, there is a temperature between 14 C˚ and 38 C˚. The vegetation consists of simple trees and palm trees at the coast. The government tries to use the different climates in the best way without damaging them. |

| Description: |
The economy of this nation is a social market economy following ordoliberalism and democratic socialism. Care is taken to ensure fair competition, i.e. not to allow monopolies and cartels to arise. This is guaranteed by a cartel office. It is a free market that combines the principle of freedom in the market with that of social equality. There is free pricing, private property and the freedom to form contracts and to freely spend one's money. The pursuit of profit should represent an incentive to perform. The state intervenes in the economy to supplement and correct it if this is considered necessary. However, it is not a supply state, but the citizens have their own responsibility and are only covered by the welfare state. This is done through statutory unemployment, pension, health, long-term care and occupational accident insurance. The state pays attention to social equilibrium, especially through a progressive income tax. In order to guarantee the best possible and equal opportunities for work, school education and further training are largely free of charge. In addition, the state tries to provide as many quality public goods as possible, especially in the area of public transport and health. |

Husen-Kurl's economy has multiple industries. Most of them are only located in certain areas and cities, partly due to natural conditions, but also due to government planning. Because it has that much industries, Husen-Kurl is seen as a trade nation and the workers in the country are described as very disciplined and serious about the matter. These are the most important industries:
Extraction of raw resources:
Coal, iron and lead are mined in Husen-Kurl. Some of them are used for export, others for manufacturing. Important cities for the extraction of raw materials are Brackurl and Abeita. Because of their high industrial output, they are often referred to as the Husen-Kurl's "engine". In contrast to other countries, an authority appointed by the government ensures that all workers are paid fairly, work under safe working conditions and, as suspect as it sounds, even when raw resources are extracted the greatest possible environmental protection that means clean disposal of trash and pollution control is provided. But apart from those cities there are also important places in Malseen (iron and lead), Lukania (coal) and Newstart (iron and lead).
Manufacturing
As mentioned above, some raw resources are used for manufacturing. Steel and munitions are most important goods that are primarily used for personal use. Next to those the manufacturing of cars, foods, clothes, plastic (even if this is restricted by strict environmental protection laws), glass, toys, metal, paper, ships and luxury goods is worth mentioning. Important cities are again Brackurl and Abeita, but also the capital Lukania as well as Newstart have huge industrial complexes.The goods are transported across the country by lorries or by freight trains. The import and export is guaranteed mainly by cargo planes and cargo ships. Husen-Kurl is very well known for its well-functioning supply chains, although it must be admitted that the trucks can sometimes get caught in a traffic jam.
Agriculture
Husen-Kurl uses its perfect climate and terrain of the middle from the island for agriculture. Main places for this can be found in Lukania, Brackurl and Newstart with huge farm complexes.These farms grow wheat, potatoes, corn, cotton, apples, oranges and pears. Pigs, cows, sheep and highland cattle are also kept. Meat, milk and flour are also produced there. In addition to the iron, lead and forestry sectors, the agricultural sector is responsible for the second largest export volume. They can also be used as a vacation spot thanks to the adjacent horse stalls.
Forestry
Forestry has the third largest export volume.The sites are mainly in the north in the middle of the natural boreal coniferous forests. But there is also business in the middle of the country, e.g. in Brackurl, Newstart and Keinplan. Forestry is also located in Malseen, the second largest location in terms of area. Wood is mainly processed into boards and paper.
Finance and office sectors
There are huge office sectors which generate high incomes for the country. Famous banks, game developers and other large companies have settled there. There is a huge area in Brackurl and a few smaller ones in Newstart and Lukania, but the most important city is Keinplan, whose skyline and inner city consist almost entirely of office buildings and public transport.
Tourism
Especially the beautiful beaches of the south attract many tourists. Malseen is a tourist magnet. But also parks, zoos, amusement parks and camping areas are often visited in other cities. Tourist also come for casinos and districts geared towards leisure and entertainment like in Newstart. There are also many famous buildings to visit, the most famous might be the Space Elevator.
Fishing
Husen-Kurl has a small fishing industry which fishes a small amount of trout and tuna. Care is taken to protect the environment. |
| Military |
| History: |
The military was established right as the nation was founded. In the opposite to the most, the Military Forces of Husen-Kurl are only there to defend the nation or one of its allies. Husen-Kurl also stands up against any nuclear weapons and only keeps them for deterrence and as last option.
In March 2069(Orbis Time) Husen-Kurl had to face the first war. Later more wars came up, in the end it has been 6 wars in 3 days(real time) or 8 wars in 5 days! These events have been called "Der erste Sturm" ("The first storm"), a name that implies that the residents as well as the government expect more wars to come, new storms that they have to stand up against. But in "The first storm" President Lukas Thiele either reached to negotiate peace or all of those who did not want have been defeated. In the end there have been 4 peace agreements and 4 victories.
26th May 2069: On his birthday, President Lukas Thiele rewarded Navy Admiral Harris with the nation's highest award for not losing a single naval battle. The President was quoted: "Admiral Harris gave the most contribution to Husen-Kurl´s surviving of "The first storm". We can only be thankful for the tireless effort to defend us." On this date the President also hired a new general: General Schweda who is very popular for his warning shots and accuracy. The President said: "We look forward to have my good friend as the new general. We hope he can use his great experience to give us even more safety."
August 2071: On 19th August 2071 Husen-Kurl lost its first war after 14 other ended with a peace agreement or a win. On 21st August 2071 President Lukas Thiele held a memorial service to honor the deceased. Within the war 107,219 soldiers died, also 593 pilots and 80 captains lost their lives. Many civilians were killed to, estimations think of over 150,000 casualties. After the minute of silence, the President gave a speech to pay the last tribute. His most important statements were: " In these days the nation and its great people have to suffer more than they ever did before. [...] I want to thank all people that died for their incredible service and I mourn their deaths. To all relatives, I want to express my deepest compassion. [...] We may have suffered and lost many loved ones but let's not forget our great resistance we made and how hard we fought. We are strong and we will recover! We always did! I am in talks with all advisors right now, we will rebuild the infrastructure the was destroyed, recover the military that has been damaged and help and support the people that suffered. We will do anything possible to prevent this from happening again. [...] Stay safe and do well from now. Thank you." The President appointed a new Commander the day before. The President said: " Our Air Force has not been as strong and as effective as we want it to be. Therefore we will do changes and one of them is the Commander position. I still want to thank Commander Moore for 6 years of incredible service and that he agreed to help the new Commander to integrate himself. Commander Moore will be replaced by Commander Dameron."
09th October 2078: The President makes the "Order 66 Theme" the official anthem of Husen-Kurl's Armed Forces. |
