The Global Liberation Army (GLA) is a violent non-state actor which was established in direct opposition to the hegemony of the United States of America.

The highly decentralised organisation incorporated various groups of insurgents, criminals and self-styled freedom fighters; fighting under a pseudo-religious, populist, anti-imperialist banner.

Dr Thrax - a key leader and biochemical scientist - produces chemical and biological weapons for black market organisations across the globe, including the GLA. They have bio-labs and rebel cells scattered across Africa and Asia
