Pandon is home and holy land to the religious people known as the Seraphites, colloquially called Scars.

Pandon is an egalitarian nation, that doesn't believe in the use of technology or most modern advancements due to following a prophet's brutal ideals. Scars believe the Cordyceps brain infection is a punishment brought on by humanity's own sins and is a second chance for humanity to redeem itself.

Scars are regarded as some of the toughest and most relentless people, war has proven Pandon to be extremely effective at guerrilla warfare.

The Viper
History: The Seraphites began in a suburb of Seattle after the cordyceps outbreak. It was here a woman supposedly had a vision, from which she became inspired to live an egalitarian life and strive for humanity to live off the land again, detached from mortal pleasures and reliance on technology. She was also a fierce fighter, able to defeat numerous infected that attacked the community. Her charismatic sermons preaching that the Cordyceps brain infection was a punishment brought on by humanity's own sins and was a second chance for humanity to redeem itself inspired members in the community to do likewise, with the residents soon living independently. They fought off infected and looters and grew food on the land they lived on. In time, the woman became their leader and was dubbed "the Prophet".

The Seraphites, per the Prophet's teachings, do not use any technology that was created before the pandemic occurred, deeming it part of the 'old world'. Notes that the some soliders use 'old world' items, however, having been granted special permission so they can better combat hostile foes.

The Seraphites survived the fall of FEDRA and were soon plunged into war against Western Liberation Front (WLF). During this war the Prophet was captured and executed, her death martyred her. The Scars became far more brutal and relentless because of this. The long and bloody conflict ended with a final assault on the Seraphite homeland, that left the WLF effectively eradicated, with heavy loss both to seraphite numbers, land and infrastructure.

With the WLF eradicated, Scars were able to not only rebuild, but continue expanding and growing across the west without resistance. The prophet has not been forgotton and her lessons and scriptures are still taught and avidly followed today, its is the baseline culture and religion of the Pandon Seraphites.

Since the Scars have rebuilt and expanded following the WLF war, they now control and inhabit immense amounts of land. Other settlements, communities and factions have joined and embraced Seraphite life, and any resisting factions have been externinated.

This is how Pandon has come to be, a large and fierce nation that rejects the sinful old ways, so now we may live happy, true and feel her love.

Continent: Africa
Land Area: 169,914.12 sq. km
Terrain: Pandon territory for easier identification and analysis, can be divided into 3 sections. The entire western side of the nation is a coastline to the north pacific ocean. The 3 dividable sections are The North, central and Southern territories. Each terrain is as follows:

Northern Territory:
Landscapes include rocky coastlines, sandy beaches, forests, lakes, mountains, inland deserts, and grassy plains. The Valley in the Mainland/Southwest region has rich agricultural land that produces fruit and vegetables.

Central Territory:
The centre of Pandon boasts a dramatic range of geographic diversity, including dense forests, mountain ranges, an ocean coast, and arid farmland.
The territory can be divided into six distinct geographic areas, three of which are tremendously mountainous: the Olympic Mountains, the Coast Range, the Puget Sound Lowlands, the Cascade Mountains, the Columbia Plateau, and the Rocky Mountains.

Southern Territory:
This territory can be divided into six areas of lowlands, plateaus, and mountains. The Plateau is the lands largest geographical region, and it fills almost the entire eastern half of the territory. Hells Canyon, the deepest river gorge in North America, is here.

Northern Territory:
Because of the many mountain ranges and rugged coastline, Northern territory climate varies dramatically across the province. The interior and central regions of the province have hotter summers, with temperatures in July often reaching 30°C or more. Winters are colder and snowier than in coastal regions. In the north, winters are long and cold with lots of snow, and summers are short.

Central Territory:
Pandon Central has a temperate climate. The eastern half has a semi-arid climate, while the western side, as well as the coastal areas of the territory have a cool oceanic climate. Summer days rarely rise above 26° C and winter days are seldom below 8° C during the day. Snow is rare, but winter temperatures can easily dip -6° to -1° C at night.

Southern Territory:
The west / coastline has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate, which features warm, dry summers, and wet winters with frequent overcast and cloudy skies. The east however falls into the cold semi-arid climate, which features drier weather. Growing seasons in the Central Valley are long, and moisture is abundant during most of the year (although summer irrigation is common).

Economy
Description: The prophet's texts promote living a egalitarian life in line with nature and detached from the civilized world, believing mankind's advancements were responsible for their demise. As such, the Seraphites live largely ascetic lifestyles: they generally travel on horseback, are largely agrarian, and consider gathering resources from the "old world" as taboo, although soldiers are exempt from this condition. However, they do seem to employ at least some metalworking, as evidenced by their equipment, which includes metal weapons and tools. The culture is strongly communal and collectivist.

The Seraphites shun material indulgences, and so there is little to no need for currency, people trade goods and services of their skills / trade. For example a neighbour may construct a bed for someone is exchange for some tools made in return. Building and construction is decided and undertaken as a community, and so most materials are communally owned.

When it comes to food there is a hierarchy among the Seraphites that decides who receives food. Typically, the Elders (Leaders) always receive first choice at food, usually choosing the highest quality food, followed by farm workers who they deem to have produced the most crops for the day. After them, the families of soldiers who have excelled in patrols or combat then get their food, followed by the teachers of the Prophet's philosophy. The remaining food thereafter is distributed equally both in quality and quantity amongst the rest of society.

Industries: Scars hold farmers as vitally important, for both crops and cattle keep the nation fed.

Soldiers keep the Scars safe and protected, although not producing much in materials, they are seen as invaluable to Pandon.

Other leading industries includes Logging, building, weaving and craftship including metalwork, even with restricted beliefs on metal / “old world” ways.
Military
History: The army comprises entirely of the eldest child from each family, both men and women. While Seraphites are taught how to fight for protection while growing up, soldiers must be at least sixteen years old. To join the army, each soldier has to be initiated in a special ceremony. This ceremony consits of prayers, a sermon and the scarring of the newly-initiated soldier's cheeks into the shape of a glasgow smile. It is customary for the soldier's parents, especially their father, to witness the initiation.

Seraphites primarily use melee weapons and silent weapons like bows and machetes, although some are given permission to use “old world” weapons and so can be seen using firearms. Given their lack of equipment, they are more stealth-reliant, preferring to blend in with the environment in forests and open areas. As such they target fighting in primarily the woods and outskirts, they have also adapted across urban territories and skyscrapers where they have constructed bridges to travel across and over.

As they lack most rivals equipment, the Seraphites prefer to surprise enemies in ambushes. To make such tactics effective, they ride horses and focus on damaging supply routes, patrols and vehicles, in order to prevent them escaping their attacks. Furthermore, in order to prevent enemies from understanding their tactics, given most of their enemies understand English, they use whistling to coordinate their searches and communicate information. Such makes it difficult for enemies to understand them, making attacks well-strategized and near impossible to counter.

Upon the capture of an enemy, their primary method of killing them is having them hanged while disemboweling them, believing that all enemies are "nested with sin", while doing this they pray in an effort to atone for these sins and after the victim has died they claim them to have been freed. This aftermath is a grizzly sight, and has proven to be an effective scare and physiologically weakening tactic
