IGN sent to reinforce Boer-Argentinian Blockade

201109-N-FP334-1030.jpeg

Following the proclamation of the Boer Republic of Traansvaal, Gwynedd has followed suit and sent a detachment of the Imperial Navy of Gwynedd (IGN) to strengthen the Namibian Blockade. The Kingdom of Gwynedd can not and will not tolerate any state threatening our allies and its own interests with the South Africa region. Siam's missile capabilties mark a threat to all British states and allies. In addition to the Gwynnish naval presence, three Mechanized Rifle Divisions of 75,000 total men have been sent to counter any potential Siamese advance outside of Namibia, setting up several miles of minefield with a mixture anti-tank, anti-personnel, flame-fougass, and anti-helicopter mines, with trenches and barbed wire being set up as this article is being written.

The IGN detachment is as follows:

6 Guent class Frigates

7 Dyfed class Corvettes

2 Llywelyn class Cruisers

5 Deheubarth class Destroyers

2 Powys class Mine Warfare Vessels

1 Glywysing class Helicopter Carrier

A classified number of Submarines

The IGN detachment will support and be supported by the combined Boer-Argentinian fleet. They have been arranged to deter first and foremost submarines and surface vessels in ship to ship combat. Gwynedd's ships shall work jointly with that of our allies, reinforcing the brigade and pushing as much pressure as possible on Siamese Namibia.

As mentioned prior, 3 Mechanized Rifle Divisions have been and still are setting up defenses directly opposite to the Namibian land border with Traansvaal. 75,000 footmen stand ready to deter any and all Siamese aggresion and potentially go on the offensive should the situation become truly dire. 35 Interceptors from Caernarvon have been sent as well via Boer airstrips, the first of likely more as a deterence against bombers and Siamese reconnaissance aerocraft - to intercept and defeat invading aerocraft while keeping watch over the borderline. At least 8,000 paratroopers have been raised in the Gwynnish Isle and shall be sent via transport tomorrow. Likewise, the safety of King and Country are the overall missions of the military force, and to help put pressure on Siam to remove her weapons of mass destruction.

God save the King!

Glory to Gwynedd!
