Remove the fascists in Portugal!

September 9th 2098:

The People's Republic of Nexiren has never been engaged in a war before, despite a failed attempt recently against Mundusia, in its short existence. It's with this thought process that we dread to break that record properly this time with a declaration of war against fascist Portugal.

The President stated in a television address the following: "People of the Republic! Brothers and Sisters! Portugal seems to like be provocative. They seem to like being Fascist! They seem to like being a threat to Vilania and La Plata! No more! We do not tolerate the evils of this ideology! We do not appreciate such aggression close to our continent! We do not tolerate the free people's will being stifled! Our system is not perfect...but we will  never embrace the ideals of a system that's only goal is to oppress the people! To divide the people! To control us!"

The time of giants is over...The time for peace is now. Peace is not easily achieved. But we will do whatever we can to see it through! We reach out to Vilania and Mundusia with our prayers. And to Portugal with our guns."

According to other parts of the speech, which we unfortunately cannot provide, Task Force Cape Town(originally near Victorian Austrlia) is being rerouted north to Madeira island. 

The Task Force will be reorganized and sent to Madeira. 10 Corvettes, 7 destroyers, and 1 Cruiser and a couple of Transport ships will be accompanied to GFS where they will pick up troops from the Gabon First Army(10 000 soldiers[Gabon First Division "Lion" and Gabon Seventh Brigade "Cheetah"), which will accommopany a further est. 7500 soldiers from the mainland(1st Nexiren Infantry Division "Warriors"). 

Troops from the 2nd Regiment, 1st Division of the Gabon First Division(Lions) on the patrol[c.2097]. Veterans against the Cartel War of 2096.

Vehicles in this operation will be limited. Reportedly the Soldier units will be as follows.

1st Divison: "Warriors"

• 2nd and 3rd Regiment(contains all support companies and logistics companies)
• Artillery division(unknown artillery pieces)
• A couple dozen tanks(Victorian Light Tanks) 

1st Division: "Lions"/Gabon Seventh Brigade

• 1st Regiment, 2nd Regiment(all companies and logistics companies)
• Motorized Brigade. 20- 45(estimate) civilian trucks. 35 IFVs. 16 APCs(about 200 men).

We bless our troops and sincerely hope for a quick victory against the evils of fascismo(Italian original word). Day of Arrival is in about 19-21 days(28th September-30th September) 

Minor headlines:

-Slight economic growth of 3% expected next year.

- Soldier reservists have had their mobilization period extended.

-Military port construction in GFS has begun. Finish time is expected in a couple of months.(latest is 8 months)
