Radiation

Over 600 or so nukes were dropped on various cities in Soviet Russia near our border, mostly in Moscow. Radiation has, as expected, spilled into Belarus destroying many farms and leaving a relatively large portion of the area of the East ‘a radioactive waste hole’ and has been stated as ‘being worse than Chernobyl’. Belarus now ranks in the top 15 of nations that were most affected by the attack. Nevertheless, foreign food imported has now been destroyed or sent away, and small hordes of families are being let out of bunkers. Minsk was not hit.

British, Soviet and Novist scientists have been called in to help remove it, however reports say that it will be many years until Belarus goes back to normal.

The Neo-Russian Empire and the Baltic succession, Navy

The Soviet Federation is no more! Now comes a new successor to the state, the Neo-Russian Empire, also called the Lunorian Russia has rosen! The Tsardom is a close supporter of the new nation, and hopes it succeeds. The Neo-German Empire has also succeeded the lands of  Eastern Lithuania and all of Latvia to Belarus following the fall of the Soviet Federation.

To help run Lithuania, Grand Prince Branislaǔ Mindaugas (House of Mindaugas), has been told to administrate the region starting the Grand Principality of Vilnius. With the Prince being of both Lithuanian Royalty and of Lithuanian descent, and with people seeing the threat Communism holds, Belarus has been opened up with open arms from the population.

In Latvia, the Grand Duchy of Riga has been formed, being led by Grand Duke Leonard Romanov, son-in-law to the Tsar of Belarus. The Tsar's aunt, Isabella IV, has been made Princess of Riga however she is on her deathbed and Prince's duty to the region will go to Isabella IVs grand niece, Isabella VI of Kiev. Riga has become the biggest city.

The current population of the nation is 11.807 million people. The armed forces are gone back to normal, with only 100,000 on duty forces.

With the succession of the Baltics, the Navy is now formed. A few old Soviet ships such as the St. Petersburg class destroyers, or the Moscow class frigate (made up names btw) have been taken in, giving us around 5 frigates and 7 destroyers. The nation has put in charge ex-Soviet Rear Admiral Alexis Harris Lushenko as the nation's first Admiral and he will lead the 1st Baltic Fleet.
