As we are now merely 3 months until the National Elections on May 5, 2097, Politicians old and new are now applying and filling their candidacy for their respective positions starting today, November 5 until November 30. There are around 25 Senate Seats (2 New Seats), 208 Representative Seats (6 New Seats), 25 Governor Seats, 25 Vice Governor Seats, 400 State Councilor Seats, 38 City Mayors, 38 Vice Mayors, 380 City Councilors, 382 Municipal Mayors, 382 Vice Mayors, 3820 Municipal Councilors, 3438 Town Prefect, and 24066 Town Councilors out for grabs this election which is held every 3 years.

Earlier this day, Adriana Stathiadi, Leader of the Elysia First Party and the daughter of Former Controversial Prime Minister Grigorios Stathiadi has filed her Candidacy for Prime Minister after a long speculation that she might run for the Premiership of this country, following the footsteps of her Father who is well known for being the youngest Prime Minister of the country at the age of 40 years old, his violent crackdown on illegal substances/drugs, corruption allegations, and economic boom of the country but after being forced to resign by his party members and allegations of corruption propagated by the opposition and some of his party members, he had left the country and live in Albania since then. However, his still wields high popularity and influence in the Empire's Politics.

On November 7th, Prime Minister Petros Petrakis has come to the National Electoral Commission Building and has filed his Candidacy for the Premiership once again, however it will be a hard job as his approval rating has declined to 28% and his trust rating to 35% as the impacts of the Economic Recession, Social Unrests, and the Rise of Crime has plagued the last year of his tenure however the Prime Minister is very optimistic and hopeful in next year's election. Aside from the Prime Minister filing his candidacy today, Natalia Arventelli, leader of the Social Democratic Party has also filled her candidacy for the Premiership as under her leadership the Party's Popularity Rating has seen a rise in recent polls, making her a rising star in politics.

On November 15, Karolos Harroulis of the Democratic Party which is main opposition party against the current government has filed his candidacy for the Premiership after winning his party's nomination for Prime Minister. This will be a great boost to the Democratic Party as Harroulis is a very well-known for his contribution on helping the working class and the poor man thanks to his legislative career that help fight for social justice, climate change, affordable healthcare, and wages. Most polls have predicted that he will win the election by more than 50% but now as time goes by, the people will decide this country's future and leaders.

The Economic Recession has impacted the Nation's economy severely as the unemployment rate has surged to 14% (11% Increase), the Gross Domestic Product of the country has fallen by -12%, Inflation reaching 26%, and the Elysian Dollars' worth against the Orbis dollars has decreased to 62 Elysian Dollars. This Economic Recession has asked by man if the Elysia the Economic Tiger of the East will fall from grace and become the Old Sick Man of Asia, as the recent decades has shown that Elysia's Economy will reach to 1 trillion Orbis Dollars on 2 Decades but with the Recent Stock Market Crash of 2096, it has shown how fragile the Elysian Economy was despite its strong growth it has shown.

The Economic Recession will become an important topic in the National Elections on February 2097, with the winner being the one with a very competent and realistic economic plan to get Elysia back on track on economic growth but only time will tell as future forecast for the Elysian Economy shows that the Economic Tiger has been stopped and has fallen to a ravine, will Elysia be able to rise as a Economic Tiger or become a nation with a tragic economic story that was once seen as a rising economic powerhouses to a sick man of asia.

The Empress has held a very important meeting with the Prime Minister and his Cabinet participating along with the Top high-ranking leaders of the Imperial Armed Forces with the topic of the discussion being the war between Holy Elysian Empire and Republic of China formerly known as the Tang Clique, the economic recession, and the rising instability cause by social unrests and crime. The Meeting was held on November 27 on the Imperial Palace in Elysium, it was the first time in almost 5 decades that meeting between the Monarchy, Imperial Government, and the Military was held. Last time it was held because the communist insurgency in Northern Cambodia and Palawan as well as some small territories in the south of Leyte which has prompted the Government to declare a State of War and State of Emergency.

This meeting results has not been released by the Imperial Government as all information about it is held with secrecy as the media was barred from going to the Imperial Palace except the Imperial Family's Information Office (Monarchy - Controlled) which only released little information about the meeting however we can know for a fact that this meeting is about the emerging problems that is facing the country which needs action and solutions to these problems before it gets worse like how a mere symptom that has a possibility of becoming a cancer which needs an early treatment of it.
