With the recent declaration of war on The Melon by The Latin Bloc (literally just Victoria and Escharia), The Melon has entered a phoney war situation. With The United Imperium demanding that no other power enters the war, it seems that The Melon could fall, but there are multiple points that Elena Josephine made in one of her articles of the smaller newspaper The Annecy Post, she makes multiple points such as, "The nation of Victoria, which is the main power in this duo, is located all the way in Australia, with one outpost in Europe (Alsace Lorraine), therefore, it will be quite difficult for Victoria to supply its province, as it is landlocked. Furthermore, Victoria does not have the same strength as The Melon, but pairing up with Escharia was a good idea". She stated later in her paper about Escharia, "Escharia is a rather new nation, and has a relatively weak military alone against The Melon, and Escharia is pretty much just Corsica, Crete, some Greek Islands, and luckily The DRC. The DRC is most likely Escharia's biggest strength, the only problem, the thing is all of Escharia's homeland is located extremely close to The Melon, proving Escharian homeland to be a disadvantage". But she also noted a few disadvantages for The Melon, "There are some problems for The Melon though, for example, Crete, Rodos, and Karpathos are located extremely close to The Melon, those islands were even once in Melonese possession before! Those Greek islands are located near Melonese Cyprus, which is one of the most fortified places in the world, even though it has a pretty low population, over 25% of people on Cyprus are in the military, which pretty much makes Cyprus just a really big military base, though an invasion from the Greek islands are unlikely, as the population from them doesn't even equate to the population of Cyprus, also Melonese Turkey, which is super large, and is a large outpost for Melonese Military". She later made a list of nations that could possibly join the war, and which side they would join on, this is the list, "Soviet Fed, could possibly join on Melonese side if the situation were to escalate, The British Empire, has an MDP with Melon, could possibly join if situation were to escalate, Sedrosia and The Dutch, could possibly join on LB side as mentioned in LB bulletin they could join, Mundus, could join in no direct relation to The Melon, but would more likely invade because of tensions that were caused because of the DRC", she mentioned more nations, and did state that most likely no more nations would join.

The nation of Victoria and The Melon have made a peace deal, with Victoria realizing that the LB is supposed to be a neutral group, not aligned with any sides, he has decided to make peace with The Melon, no reparations, land ceding, or demilitarization will happen, just peace will happen. Now just Escharia will be facing just The Melon. Aithne Daughtery has demanded unconditional surrender to the Escharians, and response is to be heard. We will not accept any sort of peace deal except for our own, we gave Escharia one chance to have peace with us, he refused, he brought this on himself.

Melonese troops are putting up tons of beach defenses on the shore of France that are close to Corsica, with over 200,000 troops on the coast and the places that surround it. The massively fortified Cyprus and Turkey are also setting up defenses and preparing to invade islands. Military ships are preparing to leave the docks. This is total war...

Just so you know I have basically voided all of Escharia's land in France (excluding Corsica) because I have had that land for longer than your nation has existed, I have had that land for over a year irl, so in my case, Escharia's land in Mainland France is voided.

and to you Escharia, surrender now to be spared, the earlier you surrender, the less painful the treaty will be...
