Dutch Forces Move into Victoria | Operation Ekster.

In the early morning of July 11th, 20.000 soldiers of the NGL have crossed the border into Victoria, accompanied by 300 N-21's, 500 S-12's, 100 Giraffe's (The SPA class, not the animal) and 200 anti aircraft systems. The goal is to set up a safe zone in which the old government of Victoria can hide and people that might be persecuted by the ultranationalists can seek refuge in.

The force occupied a lot of land within a short time and were met with very little resistance. The total casual count on the NGL side are: 50 soldiers dead, 200 soldiers wounded, 10 N-21's destroyed, 43 S-12's destroyed, 143 piece of transport equipment destroyed or broken down.

The casualties for the ultranationalists were much worse with 300 confirmed kills, 250 wounded and 438 captured. An unknown number of heavier equipment was destroyed, but none was captured as the ultranationalists destroyed it themselves before letting it fall into Dutch hands.

The NGL has captured and fortified all roads into it's new safe zone, and set well guarded checkpoints up to smooth over the process of letting in refugees. They also have begun a campaign to find ultranationalists within occupied territory in order to keep them from murdering innocent people. A HQ has been set up in Liege/Luik from which the occupation zone will be governed. Supreme Commander Winkelman (see portrait) himself has travelled there to do the governing. 

The Dutch Government and the Military Administration of the Occupation Zone in Victoria (MAOZV) have both expressed their combined wish to return the zone to Victorian control soon, also extending the invitation to the legitimate Victorian government to get to safety within the MAOZV. But let it be clear, should the ultranationalists seize complete control over the country of Victoria, the NRL (Nederlands Republikeins Leger) will defend the zone as if it's core Dutch territory.

In other news: De Nederlandse Marine has ordered a massive expansion of the navy. Construction has begun on 1 more aircraft carrier, 1 battlecruiser, 2 nuclear missile cruisers, 5 light cruisers, 10 destroyers, 5 frigates, 2 nuclear submarines and 6 regular submarines.
