In the early Hours of this day The Federal Kingdom of the Danube conducted a Navy exercise withouth informing Pärnu, Pärnu Navy or the Pärnu Port Authority.

While nobody was hurt and no alarms were raised we [Pärnu government] condemn this action by the Danube Navy forces on the basis of poor boat-to-shore communication.

While within the Port Authority's rights, we will not be issuing a fine to the Danube Navy but this act by Danube undermines the naval security of Pärnu waters and will be met by fines if it were to happen in the future.

And just in-case the Navy was unnable to communicate with Pärnu we will transmit this image to the public and the Danube Navy.

Along with this, "Danubian Forces has announced that it will be conducting additional exercises... in the coming weeks"

While Pärnu displays discontent with the lack of communication and authorisation, Pärnu will allow these exercises on the conditions that Pärnu military assets watch over these exercises as a standard security measure.

And to adress the concerns, Danube does commit to the fact that they were in International waters at the time, however this is unknown and the location of the ships were never officially given a co-ordination point but Danube have stated the fleet was 100 nauticle miles (185.2 kilometres) from Pärnu shores. This would confirm to be outside of the Pärnu waters.

This fact has lessend the anger of the Pärnu Naval operations but Pärnu still explains that the Danube should have innitiated radio contact with Pärnu about the Naval exercises before leaving Pärnu waters as the fleet was previously stationed in the Pärnu Port.

This would also be helpfull for civilian vessels and aircraft around the international-Pärnu water border area to avoid the military exercise zones.
