SÜTHEIM (NORTH VALLEY)-           Following allegations against 14th Legislative Court of Appeals Judicial nominee, The Honourable 28th Legislative Circuit Court Judge Karl Jansson, The National Conference Judicial Oversight Committee officially opened an investigation into the judge, who is one of two nominees for the legislative appeals court seat. In a press conference tuesday, the chairman of the Judicial Oversight Committee stated, "Following a credible tip from a member of the Judge's staff, the Judicial Oversight is beginning an investigation into possible cases of corruption. As of now, we can not reveal who reported these actions, but we are following the rules of The National Conference, and The Constitution of Gavastek, which will see proper and lawful investigation, with due process of the law." The office of Judge Jansson was asked for comment, but did not immediately respond.

The Judicial Oversight committee, if it finds evidence that they deem as "meritful towards proving judicial wrongdoing", will forward their findings to the General Counsel, who would then have a vote on whether or not to impeach the judge. The investigation will likely last between three and five months before the committee votes on their findings.
