Our Alliance is a democracy. Every Orbis year, there is an election where every member state has the right to vote for the prime minister. The permanent position of Democracy general only exists to maintain elections and act as Prime minister in transitional periods. The Prime Minister is given supreme power and can consolidate it however they choose during their term. If at any time, 75% of the Alliance votes for the PM to be ousted, they will be immediately impeached, and we enter into a transition period where there is a 15 day vote to replace the PM for the rest of the Year. Some changes have to be done through the DG

The election cycle is as follows: 

January 1st-15th, transition period

January 16th to July 15th, Normal term.

July 16th to August 31st, Candidate Nominations

September 1st to October 31st, Campaign

November 13th-20th, Election.

November 21st to December 31st, Rest of incumbent term.

In order for a member state to vote, when asked they must post an announcement in the Alliance, if they don’t vote, they are not counted

All referendums and votes must take at least a week

In order to be nominated, 2 member states must announce your nation candidature
